In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Grantor of Mercy
All praise is due to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) congratulates Muslims throughout the world, and specifically in the US, on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr and announces the following:

Tomorrow, Saturday May 23, 2020, will be the 30th of Ramadan due to the lack of credible sightings that are free of strong scientific doubts. Based on this, Sunday May 24, 2020 will be the beginning of Shawwal and Eid al-Fitr. We ask Allah, the Majestic, the Most High, to remove this pandemic from the nation of Muhammad (peace be upon him) specifically, and from all of humankind generally, and that He allow us to the return to our mosques with this calamity ended.
We pray to Allah to aid our oppressed brothers and sisters wherever they may be, and to fulfill what He has promised them by saving them and giving them support.
Allah is All-Knowing of people’s intentions, and He is the one who guides to the straight path.
