All praise is due to Allah, and may His praise and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his Companions, and those that followed. The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) congratulates the Muslims in North America, as well as the Muslims of the e
ntire Ummah, for the approach of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.

Astronomers have asserted that it is scientifically impossible to see the new moon on this night. Therefore, tomorrow, Wednesday the 12th of May, will be the 30th of Ramadan, and Thursday the 13th of May will be the blessed day of Eid Al-Fitr, the 1st day of Shawwal.

We ask Allah to accept from all of us our fasting and night prayers, to complete Ramadan for us with His pleasure and His protection from Hellfire, and to allow Ramadan to return to us and the entire Ummah with goodness, blessings, honor, and strength. We ask him to aid our brothers and sisters protecting Bayt Al-Maqdis with His strength, and to show us His all-encompassing power against the oppressors.
