In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Grantor of Mercy. All praise is due to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) congratulates Muslims throughout the world, and specifically in the US, on the upcoming arrival of Eid al-Fitr and announces the following:

Tomorrow, Sunday May 1, 2022, will be the 30th of Ramadan due to, according to the AMJA fatwa committee, there being no established sighting of the crescent that does not go against what is certain from the science of astronomy. Based on this, Monday May 2, 2022 will be the beginning of Shawwal and Eid al-Fitr.

The assembly, represented by the fatwa committee, makes this announcement to the Muslims of the United States, praying to Allah, the Majestic, the Most High, to accept the righteous actions of us all, just as we pray to Allah to aid our oppressed brothers and sisters wherever they may be, and to fulfill what He has promised them by saving them and giving them support.
Allah is All-Knowing of people’s intentions, and He is the one who guides to the straight path.
