Question

Please explain the second part of this hadith:

Imam Muslim narrated in his Saheeh that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen, men with whips like the tails of cattle with which they strike the people, and women who are clothed yet naked, walking with an enticing gait (or turning away from righteousness and leading others astray [maa’ilaat mumeelaat]), with their heads like the humps of camels leaning to one side. They will not enter Paradise nor smell its fragrance.”

Do women wearing hijab head covering with their hair tied as bun behind their ear or neck come under this? Please explain!

Answer

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Grantor of Mercy

All praise belongs to Allah, and may prayers and peace be upon Allah’s final Messenger.

No, they are not. This description applies to women who gather their hair on top of their heads and meet the other descriptions.

Allah knows best.
